Final Days to Share Your Input!
Disability Rights NJ has released a public notice for a Public Input Survey. Tell them What Disability-Related Issues Are Most Important To You and Your Family? This input will guide their 2027 Priority Setting Initiative and issues that matter most to you are reflected in their goals and objectives.
Deadline Extended!!
Surveys will be accepted until Thursday, June 18, 2026.
On average, the survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

As the summer progresses keep an eye out for our partners at Ocean Positive and Ocean County Parks as they will be returning in July to Cattus Island County Park for a Paddle Session.
Ocean Positive offers water-based recreation for individuals with mobility disabilities and spinal cord injuries. Participants are required to register for events.

The Summer fun is coming up fast – time to hit the trails, rivers, lakes and beaches for outdoor adventures. One of our partners at Ocean Positive is running their Blue Journey Unified program and is launching their Autumn Lake Paddle Season on June 27. They have pool and open water sessions for individuals with mobility disabilities and spinal cord injuries.

Access for All was a four-part series sharing practical strategies and case studies to improve accessibility and inclusion in outdoor recreation. Attendees were able to learn actionable approaches to expand participation, reduce barriers, and create more welcoming trails, parks, and programs for all.
These recordings are available if you were not able to attend live. Society of Outdoor Professionals webinar recordings are available to all for the first six months before they become a member-only resource. The recording access also has presentations, other resources, as well as how to earn continuing education credits.

In this guide, information on accessible beaches, walkways, ramps, parking, and surf chair availability, as well as beach fees, lifeguard hours, and amenities, is readily available.
