We are recognizing Blindness Awareness Month. Our upcoming Inclusive Nature Programs that we are holding on October 2nd, 3rd, 16th and 17th in partnership with our avid volunteer birder Claire Campbell.
The programs we have scheduled for Oct 2nd and 17th are our “Bird Song Basics” these are focused on individuals with visual disabilities. Birding can be a challenging experience, since finding birds is often a matter of being in the right place at the right time and knowing what to listen for. Using examples of songs you may hear in your own neighborhood or nature spots in Burlington County, this presentation will help you focus on the various parts of a bird’s song so that you will be able to identify birds by their songs. This program is an indoor/outdoor event.
