Turning Creativity into Advocacy with Alice Diehl
Speaker: Alice Diehl, Ms. Wheelchair Oregon 2025, is a disability advocate cleverly disguised as a hollywood actor. She’s appeared in a plethora of TV shows like 911. Born with cerebral palsy, she was the first child with a significant disability to receive mainstream schooling in her rural hometown district where she became her own advocate. Alice has attended several youth and adult leadership programs at the regional and national levels. She is a 2008 graduate of the CA Partners in Policymaking program, and her advocacy includes working with vulnerable communities through the LA LBGTQIA Center and the current Oregon Mint program which connects individuals who are unsheltered/unhoused with quality medical care. Through film/TV or community love, Alice’s life goal is to continue being a good disabled neighbor to all.
