Join GOT ABI for this webinar on post brain injuries.

After a brain injury, it can feel like progress has stalled. The good news is that your brain can still learn, adapt, and build new connections. Think of a road blocked by a fallen tree after a bad storm: you find a new way around the fallen tree. Your brain works in a similar way and can make new paths around the blockage. The good news— the more you use the new path, the easier it gets. Jaime Pierson, physical therapist, will explain how this works in plain language, why practice and repetition matter so much, and why improvement is still possible months or even years after an injury. You’ll leave with simple, practical ways to keep moving forward at home.

Jaime Pierson is a physical therapist and co-owner of Empower Rehabilitation & Wellness, a mobile practice that brings therapy right to people’s homes in Southern New Jersey. She specializes in helping people recover after stroke and other brain injuries, and in helping older adults stay safe and independent. Jaime is a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist and is certified in vestibular (balance and dizziness) rehabilitation and concussion care. Her love for this work started early in her training, and her patients remain her “why.”
