How can data help communities connect more people to the outdoors? The Trust for Public Land (TPL) has developed innovative tools and approaches that use mapping, research, and analysis to guide decisions about parks, trails, and open space. These efforts support more equitable access to nature, inform local and national policies, and help leaders make the case for investment in public lands.

In this session, Will Klein will share how TPL is applying data to strengthen outdoor access nationwide and what lessons can be learned for communities and organizations working toward similar goals. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how data can be a powerful tool for shaping strategies, supporting advocacy, and creating healthier, more connected places.
