Organizational Summary

The mission of New Jersey Conservation Foundation is to preserve land and natural resources throughout New Jersey for the benefit of all.

The Foundation is a private, not-for-profit, nonpartisan, statewide organization. We rely on philanthropic support and grants from a variety of public and private organizations and individual donors.

Recognizing that a healthy environment is critical to the well-being and survival of all living things, New Jersey Conservation Foundation is devoted to preserving land and protecting natural resources throughout New Jersey’s rural, suburban, and urban landscapes.

The organization manages more than a dozen nature preserves, conducts public outreach and education programs, and advocates for sensible land use and climate policies that will protect the health of New Jersey’s plants, wildlife, and people for generations to come.

New Jersey Conservation Foundation owns and manages more than 27,000 acres with 75 miles of trails throughout the state. Working closely with Pinelands Alliance are conducting assessments of trails in southern and central New Jersey to identify accessibility barriers. Then select a subset of trails to improve with the goal of maximum accessibility.
